Michigan State University is considering many options for expanding the programs at the College of Human Medicine.
One possibility MSU is considering is relocating the college to Grand Rapids. University officials say these are just conversations and the idea is just one of many for expansion.
Officials stress no decisions have been made. They say being the state's land grant college, the school must remain cognizant of the need of the entire state.
The College of Human Medicine says the quality of health care in Mid-Michigan will not suffer and the conversations continue to be on-going.
