Lansing police say Obdulia Santa Cruz De-Martinez and her boyfriend Jose Brindez were abducted at knifepoint from Waverly Park Apartments by her estranged husband and two teenaged children.
Police say the husband and children were unhappy about their mother's relationship with Brindez. His body was found last night at a golf course near Ann Arbor; at this time investigators are not saying how he died. The mother was reportedly stabbed, her injuries are non-life threatening.
Investigators say all the parties involved are from the Detroit area. The victims were apparently just visiting Lansing. The suspects are currently being held in a Detroit jail. Lansing police are hoping to bring the suspects back to Lansing for prosecution, since the initial crime happened in Lansing.
