Good news for retailers as last minute shoppers fill stores across mid-Michigan.
According to a new study by the Michigan Retail Index, retailers are expected to see the biggest gain in sales in four years. Despite sluggish sales in November, the early shopping season netted some much-needed confidence for retails striving to make their holiday sales figures.
Business experts believe the rise in consumer confidence is being fueled in part by a half-percent increase in U.S. incomes.
