Some say the death could be related to a cold or the flu, but the Ingham County interim medical examiner says, even after an autopsy, nothing can be confirmed or ruled out.
Medical officials say Robin Williams, a fourth grader at Grand River Elementary, was taken to the hospital a few days ago, but then sent home. The little girl was back at the hospital again but never made it home, she died at Sparrow Wednesday night.
Autopsy results are inconclusive at this time, but the interim Medical Examiner says samples of tissues and fluids are being looked at and may give more insight.
Funeral arrangements have not been made public yet. Contributions and sympathy cards can be sent to Grand River Elementary school and will be forwarded to the family.
