It may look like just construction mess right now, but it's the foundation of a $41.2 million investment.

"It allows us to grow and grow rapidly which is what we're doing right now," said John Frost, Co-founder of the Draths Corporation.

"There is a skill set here, in terms of people that are trained in areas that are important to us in the chemical industry, so we decided to consolidate and grow here," Frost said.

That's why the state granted the company a 100 percent high technology employment tax credit Tuesday, Co-founder John Frost says they'll develop commercial manufacturing data for their new product created in their MSU laboratory.

"Making chemicals that are currently made from Petroleum, but making them from renewables," Frost said.

The new product soon to be produced at the plant may sound complicated, but it all boils down to two things we can all understand big investment and bigger employment.

"We're already hiring, B.S, B.A, technicians, we'll be hiring operators, administrative assistants so the entire spectrum of job experience," Frost said.

They'll phase in the 200 jobs over 5 years, hiring about 10 people every 6 months, Frost says.

"We're ecstatic about it," said Delhi Township Supervisor Stuart Goodrich.

Goodrich says it's a shot in the arm for the community that comes right on time.

"It brings people in, they're high paying jobs, some of them may buy homes and settle in in Delhi Township," Goodrich said.
