The shooting happened on Fielding Street on Lansing's south side.
Police have several leads in the case, but as of Sunday night had not made any arrests in the case.
The name of the 58-year-old victim has not been released and won't be until the victim's next-of-kin have all been notified.
Police are asking anyone with information on the shooting to call 483-4600.
