Home Depot donated the supplies, its employees donated their time to help fix up a historic theater in downtown Owosso.

Some 100 employees, employed at stores from Bay City to Novi, spent Thursday inside the home of the Owosso Community Players. They completed about 10 projects as part of a yearly community service event. Each year, stores pick four projects and this was one of them.

Owosso Community Players President John Morovitz says, "This came as a total out of the blue offer, they called us and said can we do something for you?"

Painting was by far the biggest project, but volunteers also built a cabinet for props, fixed plumbing in the lobby and changed hard to reach light bulbs.
