New Candidate Enters Gubernatorial Race
Joins crowded GOP field.

A Huron County commissioner and emergency medical technician has entered the Republican race for governor.
Forty-year-old Tim Rujan grew up in Wayne County's Redford Township and was a metal finish leader for Tower Automotive before he began working as an EMT for Scheurer Healthcare Network in Pigeon.
He said Wednesday in a news release that he would restore Michigan's economy by loosening regulations on industries and entrepreneurs, reining in taxes and aggressively competing for jobs.
He and his wife, April, have two children.
Others in the GOP race are Oakland County Sheriff Mike Bouchard, Attorney General Mike Cox, U.S. Rep. Pete Hoekstra, state Sen. Tom George and Ann Arbor businessman Rick Snyder, who hasn't formally jumped in yet but is expected to.
