Consumer Alert: Firestone Tire Recall
Bridgestone is recalling more than 100,000 Firestone tires because the tread can separate and cause an accident.

Thousands of Firestone-brand FR380 tires because the tread could separate and cause an accident.
There have been no reports of any accidents or injuries from the tires, according to Bridgestone.
In 2000, the company recalled more than 6 million tires, mostly on Ford Explorers, after they were linked to nearly 300 highway deaths from tread separations.
