"Good coffee, good company, and wireless Internet." Those are the three reasons Korner Kitchen Cafe Customer Tommy Roe gives for visiting the new coffee shop. That's right, the coffee high isn't the only perk customers say they get at the Korner Kitchen. The restaurant and coffee shop just started offering free WiFI, or wireless Internet access.

The Lansing business isn't alone. More and more restaurants, coffee shops, and cafes are offering free WIFI access. The reason? It's good for business. The Specialty Coffee Association reports 11 percent of customers cite WiFi access as a reason for choosing one cafe over another.

Customers say there are many advantages. It's easy to use. All you need is a laptop with wireless Internet capabilities. Plus, even while sipping gourmet coffee, customer Kris Johnson says he is saving money. He says the coffee costs less than paying for his own Internet service.

While other businesses, such as Starbucks, do charge for WiFi access, Korner Kitchen does not. Cafe Manager Lynne Richards says she just hopes customers using it buy a cup or two of coffee.
