Lansing teachers demonstrate how unhappy they are with their lack of a contract during school hours Thursday.
Teachers picketed outside Eastern High School today during their lunch break.
They have been working without a contract since July. Plus, last month the board voted to stop payment of a $166 monthly stipend to teachers and that payment ended on December 1.
One teacher says their situation is demoralizing and they want it known to the public.
The board says the stipend was a temporary incentive for teachers who took a less comprehensive insurance package.
They say without a contract, they can't continue to pay it.
Teachers also picketed at North Elementary School and the administration building today.
