Update: East Lansing Grandfather Presumed Drowned
The search continues for the body of 61-year-old Robert Wayne Smith of East Lansing. He presumably drowned while helping to rescue his 2-year-old granddaughter. She fell out of his boat on Grand Traverse Bay.

John, The son-in-law did jump in! If you read the Record Eagle in Traverse City, you will know better the details.

Why does the son-in-law not jump in the water to save Smith after the son-in-law sees that he lost his grip?
