Candilynn Anderson could face up to fifteen years in prison if she's convicted of involuntary manslaughter. Her son D'Juan Higgs died Sept. 10 when a loaded gun went off while he was playing with it.
Prosecutors say Anderson's negligence and failure to provide supervision led to her son's death. She left her kids alone in her house with access to a loaded gun.
Candilynn is awaiting a preliminary hearing on Oct. 7.
