Health Grades rleased its national evaluation of hospitals. Local healthcare administrators say medical staff and patients will benefit, but some say the information should only be used as one of many tools for planning.

Overall, Health Grades said the state of Michigan ranked fourth in overall quality in the nation.

The website ranks specialty care from heart attacks to strokes.

A spokesperson for Ingham Regional Medical Center said their hospital faired well in the evaluation but work needs to be done to improve areas within cardiac care.

A spokesperson for the Michigan Health and Hospital Association said, the site should only be one of many resources used in ultimately selecting a hospital.
