A Northern Lower Michigan man spent 11 hours pinned beneath his full-size van.
Bradley Allen Herzfeld of Interlochen was being treated Thursday at a Traverse City hospital.
Police tell the Traverse City Record-Eagle and WWTV-WWUP that Herzfeld thought his van was in park before stepping out about 8 p.m. Monday. But the van was in reverse and rolled back over his leg. Temperatures were in the high 30s and low 40s that night.
The Record-Eagle reports motorist Ken Walton spotted the 47-year-old about 7 a.m. Tuesday in the private driveway. Ken Walton says he covered Herzfeld with his shirt and coat and called 911.
Police believe Herzfeld may have been doing yard work on the property.
Interlochen is just south of Traverse City.
