Once school lets out, some students will be eating for free, thanks to the federal government.
Hillsdale, Jonesville and Waldron schools will be participating in the USDA's Summer Food Service Program.
Funding from the feds will allow the schools to offer breakfast, lunch and a snack to kids 18-years-old and younger, without any cost to the school.
Other districts with summer lunch programs for students include Lansing, Waverly Community Schools and Jackson Public Schools.
