A big step in the highly-talked about Michigan State University College of Human Medicine expansion in West Michigan.
The MSU Board of Trustees approved the purchase of a site in Grand Rapids today.
The plot is one-and-a-half acres and costs $4.5 million.
A 6,000 square foot medical school building is planned to go there.
Students will likely start class there in 2008, studying for their medical degrees and PhDs.
