Law enforcement plans to step up safety patrols this weekend. That's because more than 44 percent of last year's deadly crashes happened over Halloween weekend.
Police officers, sheriff's deputies, and state troopers will be on the look out for drunk drivers Friday and Saturday nights.
The extra law enforcement is funded by federal traffic safety dollars.
