Authorities say a 45-year-old Port Huron woman tried to sell mummified human remains on ebay.
Now Saint Clair County officials are working to determine the origins of the skeletal remains confiscated from her home.
Lynn Sterling says she was selling the remains for a friend and contacted a lawyer before posting them on ebay.
The county medical examiner's office claimed the remains Tuesday.
An ebay spokeswoman says the company removed the posting Wednesday because it violated a policy against selling human remains.
The Web site allows the sale of skeletons for medical use, but not mummified remains.
