A historic Lansing landmark is back in business and thoroughly updated. Lansing's central firehouse, Station #1, hosted its grand opening today after undergoing a major overhaul.
Fire personnel moved back into the station in August.
There are now shower facilities for both men and women and private dorm rooms. A separate area in the building acts as a firehouse museum to display old pictures and artifacts. The station will be 150 years old next year.
