Emotional and adamant she knew nothing about her adopted son's disappearance, that's how Lisa Holland presented herself to a detective one day before the little boy's remains were recovered. Jurors got to see that interview Wednesday.
A portion of the more than five hour interview was shown at the Holland's preliminary hearing. Jurors will get to review close to three hours of that January meeting which Lisa requested. Lisa Holland is on trial for abusing and murdering her adopted son Ricky. Her husband Tim has already pleaded guilty.
In the interview, Lisa implied Tim was the one who knew what happened to Ricky. She said she wasn't lying and she was scared.
Lisa also suggested the detective ask him about Dansville. Lisa claims Tim would avoid the area when they were driving to Jackson. One day after Lisa's interview, Tim led investigators to Ricky's remains on Williamston Road, near Dansville.
Jurors got through a portion of the interview Wednesday. The rest will be shown Thursday. A forensic scientist, with the Michigan State Police, is expected to take the stand regarding blood found in the Holland Home.
