Two men who say they were sexually abused in the 1970s by a priest are suing the priest and the dioceses in which he served.
Jason Sigler was sentenced last week to seven to 15 years in prison after pleading guilty to molesting a boy in 1974 and 1975.
The suit also names the Archdiocese of Detroit and Cardinal Adam Maida, the Diocese of Lansing, the Archdiocese of Santa Fe, New Mexico.
Also named are several bishops and archbishops that served with those dioceses.
The men say the dioceses knew of the accusations against Sigler, but continued to reassign him to different parishes.
They have not specified the damages they seek, but instead, are leaving it up to a jury.
