More than $14 million will soon be put to use in several schools across mid-Michigan.
Congressman Mark Schauer announcing Thursday emergency education funding to schools in Jackson and Eaton County.
Under President Obama's Recovery and Reinvestment Act, 12 schools in the Jackson school district will share more than $10.2 million.
More than $4 million will go to six schools in Eaton County.
The money will be used to help save jobs and maintain education programs.
According to the U.S. Department of Education, Jackson County districts are expected to receive:

--Northwest: $1,134,489
--East Jackson: $529,276
--Grass Lake: $297,014
--Western: $653,511
--Jackson Public: $4,835,096
--Michigan Center: $428,324
--Concord: $283,706
--Hanover-Horton: $364,236
--Vandercook Lake: $301,772
--Napoleon: $453,962
--Columbia: $532,759
Districts in Eaton County are expected to receive:
--Charlotte: $887,328
--Eaton Rapids: $867,396
--Grand Ledge: $1,359,976
--Maple Valley: $505,942
--Olivet: $324,844
--Potterville: $203,137
