The MSU police officer who shot a suspect breaking in the Kresge Art Center and Museum will not face any charges.
Last Sunday night, East Lansing police caught Larry Shirley and Verdine Josey trying to steal about $75,000 worth of computer equipment from the art center.
A police officer shot Josey during the incident. Prosecuters reviewed the case and determined the actions of the officers did not constitute a crime. Josey has since been released from the hospital. Both suspects have been arraigned on breaking and entering charges.
