Robbers got away with an unknown sum of money after holding up the Pennsylvania Fifth Third Bank Monday morning.
Police say that's the eighth time in 10 years someone held up the bank and the fourth time in the last thirteenth months.
Fifth Third Bank representatives say they've been working on renovating the Pennsylvania Avenue building to improve its size and convenience, but the security may also be enhanced as a result.
Bank representatives say the floor plan will be increased, and the teller lines will be farther from the door. Also, they're working on changing the flow of traffic from the parking lot to the road.
Lansing has experienced 49 robberies in the past ten years. Robberies have only hit National City Bank on Mt. Hope harder than the Fifth Third on Pennsylvania.
Criminals held up that bank nine times over the last 10 years.
