Doctors say the unborn child of a 24-year-old Lansing woman who was shot several times Saturday night should pull through. The expecting mother is currently recovering at a local hospital. Police are now looking for suspects.
The woman was shot twice in her upper body around 8:30 Saturday night in her home at 2124 Pleasant View in Lansing.
She and her unborn child are in stable condition and doctors say her outlook is favorable for both mother and child.
Police are now looking for whoever is responsible. At last check, police were searching for a red Oldsmobile Alero seen in front of the house on Pleasant View just before the shooting.
The wounded woman also has a three-year-old daughter who was in the house but was not hurt.
