Remnants of church guest books, audio speakers, and part of a door handle are strewn on the lawn of the Doors of Healing Tabernacle Church in Lansing.

Those are the items that are still recognizable after flames exploded inside the building late Wednesday night.

As investigators tore through the roofless building on Thursday, they looked for clues that would help them learn what started the blaze.

Nothing seemed suspicious says Rob Ellis, the church pastor. He left the building about an hour before the flames started, but says nobody was inside and the ceiling fans were turned off.

Fire investigators say the blaze appears to have been an accident. While they are still looking into the cause, they say the church had a lot of electrical equipment in the attic, where the blaze started.
