State Rep. Kevin Green has pleaded guilty to a reduced charge of impaired driving that will keep him out of jail.
Green entered the plea Tuesday in a Saginaw courtroom.
The Wyoming Republican and House whip would have faced up to 93 days in jail if convicted of his original drunken-driving charge.
Saginaw County sheriff's deputies arrested Green on Oct. 29 after finding him unconscious in his parked car.
His blood-alcohol level was measured at 0.13 percent. The state's legal limit is 0.08 percent.
Defense lawyer Gerald Lykins called his client's plea deal "extremely fair." It calls for Green to pay at least $1,360 in court costs and fees and to undergo alcohol counseling.
A sentencing date hasn't been set.
