A Lansing man is behind bars suspected in the death of his one-year-old baby girl.
Lansing Police say a family member called for an ambulance Wednesday because the infant wasn't breathing. It's unclear if she was still alive at that time or exactly what time she did die, but she was taken to Sparrow Hospital. Her death seemed suspicious so Lansing Police were called and detectives investigated.
The baby's father was arrested Wednesday evening. He is expected to be arraigned Friday. The cause of death has not been determined.
If the investigation progresses as expected, this would be Lansing's third homicide this year.
