The Michigan House has voted to make abortion clinics check to see if women have been coerced or intimidated into the procedure.
Supports say the bill is an attempt to crack down on domestic violence.
However, opponents of the bill say it is an effort to discourage women from seeking abortions.
The bill will now head to the Senate for approval.
