Michigan college graduates have hit the streets looking for jobs after graduation ceremonies in recent weeks.

Researchers say it's likely most students will grab their degrees and stay in state, especially if they're seeking careers in technology or engineering related fields.

According to a recent Michigan Economic Development Corporation study, 79-percent of students with those types of degrees stay in state and find jobs.

While many students are attracted to Fortune 500 companies, experts say the key to keeping students in state is to recruit them early on in their college careers and keep small and medium businesses in contact with graduates looking for employment.
