We've all heard the warning about sun and skin cancer, but for some people, the sun is a much more dangerous threat. There's a rare condition that causes severe sensitivity to all sources of UV radiation, especially sunlight.
It's a rare genetic disorder called Xeroderma Pigmentosum. Some light can be very harmful to the skin, even some florescent light.
Some ways to help prevent skin damage is to tint the windows and turning off any bright lights. Some special suits are tailor-made for extra sunlight protection.
Though there's no cure yet, it's very possible people with this disorder will live a long, productive life without the sun.
