Detroit police say they were forced to shoot and kill a man walking around with a gun last night.
A police spokesman says the man pulled out his weapon when officers tried to search him. He was ordered to drop the gun and raise his hands but he decided to take aim instead.
The spokesman says officers fired at least three or four shots. The man never fired a round.
The man died at a city hospital. Police didn't release his name.
