Authorities arrested the husband of a suburban Detroit woman who lost an arm in a weekend accident. The limb remains missing.
Stephen Humphrey, of Romulus, is being held in the Monroe County Jail. He's expected to be arraigned tomorrow on charges including drunken driving causing serious injury.
Brenda Humphrey was upgraded to fair condition Thursday.
The 34-year-old Brenda Humphrey told sheriff's deputies she and her husband had been drinking late Saturday at a bar in Milan. They began to argue, and she got out of their car and tried to reach in for a cellular phone. Police say the 39-year-old Stephen Humphrey drove away, dragging her, then running her over and severing her right arm.
