Grand Ledge Troops Heading Out

Local troops from the National Guard Unit in Grand Ledge are leaving Wednesday at 10 p.m., heading off to war.

The city is encouraging people to grab an American Flag and line the deployment route to wave good-bye.

The troops will start out at the National Guard Armory on Eaton Highway and through town, then on to Bridge street followed by Jenne Street to Saginaw Highway.

The troops will then turn left and then head right towards M-100 Potterville.

Those who live along the parade route are asked to turn on their porch lights in support.
