Saturday, radio stations owned by "Citadel Broadcasting" set up camp at various stores in the township to raise money for this years fireworks.
And it paid off. Tuesday the Township announced $17,000 was raised and the show would go on.
The head of the parks and recreation department says this reflects well on the community.
LuAnn Maisner the Parks and Recreation director praised Meijer for sticking with the event through the years.
The company donated $5,000 towards this year's fireworks.
