The Capital Area United Way announced Tuesday morning that General Motors has agreed to donate a brand new van.
That new Chevy Uplander Sport van will be equipped with "sit and lift" technology.
That allows disabled passenger to sit down on a street level car seat and be lifted into the van by remote control.
The Capital Area United Way plans to use the van to take disabled individuals to the Woldumar Nature Center in Lansing.
