A 39-year-old Jackson woman has several bullet wounds, but police say she is expected to survive.
Investigators say the woman was shot Saturday at her apartment on First St. by her 44-year-old boyfriend. He then shot and killed himself.
Neighbors say the couple recently ended their romantic relationship and she had a restraining order to keep him away from her. Neighbors say they heard gunshots in the house.
Before she was shot, officers say the 39-year-old woman called police and say she was afraid for her life.
