Alleged Embezzlement Hits E. Lansing

The E. Lansing based Listening Ear Crisis Intervention Center alleges its former office manager stole $13,000 via a business credit card.

Tom Meehan, coordinator for the non-profit organization said he is working to restore trust in his organization.

The Listening Ear Crisis Center helps individuals deal with such problems as depression and grief.

The Center terminated the employment of the employee in question.

Police and a non-profit spokesman would not release the name of the individual fired.

Company documents list Sean Kennedy as the office manager.

Kennedy has not been criminally charged in connection to the alleged crime.
