Police say a tractor-trailer has crashed into an bus overloaded with members of an Amish church, turning the bus onto its side and sending 14 people to the hospital, including several children.
State Police Trooper Randy Phare says the 13-seat bus was packed with 22 people when it was struck Thursday by a semitrailer while making a lane change on U.S. 23 about 40 miles west of Detroit.
Phare says most of those injured sustained cuts and bruises, and none of the injuries were believed to be life-threatening.
Huron Valley Ambulance spokeswoman Joyce Williams says eight people refused treatment at the scene.
The bus was carrying members of the Mount Pleasant-area church to a funeral in Ohio.
