Investigators tell WILX.com a propane company re-filled the tanks just hours before a Wheatfield Township home on Dennis Road blew into pieces.

The investigators are trying to figure out who is responsible for checking the lines after a refill.

David Neilson died of injuries suffered Monday in the explosion. The blast occurred while he was in the basement of the home trying to light the pilot light on the water heater.

Joyce Dyer, who owned the home, remains hospitalized in serious condition.

Thank you J. For a little while I was a bit concerned. But it does make sense that if you have an EMPTY propane tank that it should be checked. Thanks again.

They check the lines if your tank is empty when they fill it.
