The excitement has been building for the past week, and people have flocked from all over the state.
"This morning there were actually about 200 people there at 6 am," Lauretta Trap says.
And, the hoopla around Extreme Makeover Home Edition has not only brought a lot of excitement to Holt but it's also brought a lot of money to its economy.
"Well usually our customer count is about one-thousand, maybe a day and lately it's been maybe sixteen hundred a day," 7-Eleven employee Shantel Kemper says.
That's 600 extra customers buying everything 7-Eleven has to offer, and every purchase has stimulated Holt's economy which like much of mid-Michigan has taken a beating over the course of the past year. In fact business has gone so well for this 7-Eleven, that extra manpower was a must for the final day of the show's taping.
"I got called in tonight because I guess tonight they're coming home so I got called in to work an extra shift," Kemper says.
And while 7-Eleven has seen its fair share of the coin, Holt restaurants are doing just as well.
"We've seen extra business maybe 50 people extra a day, maybe 50-75 a day," Buddie's manager Linda Page says.
And even though the show's economic bump was shorted lived, it's effects will be long lasting.
