Authorities say David Baker, 31, and Desa Mills, 32, were fatally stabbed by an attacker police suspect knew the two victims. The perpetrator allegedly fled driving a maroon van and in his haste ran-over and killed a Battle Creek jogger.

The fatal stabbings occurred in Bakers home say police.

Evidence may connect the two incidents to a suspect Battle Creek Police have in their custody say authorities, but for now the man is charged with homicide while detained in Calhoun County.

Residents of Bellevue say this is the most startling event since a major train derailment occurring in 1967.

Police say the suspect could be arraigned as early as Tuesday, April 22.
