Michigan Attorney General Mike Cox says the State is now receiving more child support payments.
He says that's because the State is on the job... making sure parents pay up. In the last three years the State's child support division has collected more than 26-million dollars in delinquent child support. Those payments have helped more than 3,000 children.
Cox says, "For a hundred years it's been a felony here in Michigan not to support your children and we said, The laws on the books why not use it to help Michigan children?"
Cox urges parents who are not receiving their support to call the child support division at 866-PAY-KIDS.
