FLINT, Mich. (AP) -- General Motors chief Rick Wagoner says the automaker is still studying further cuts in production at its engine, stamping and transmission plants.
GM earlier announced cuts at truck and SUV assembly plants.
Wagoner spoke in Flint during a visit to announce a 370 million-dollar plant to make engines for the Chevrolet Volt electric car and Chevrolet Cruze compact.
In June, GM company announced it would close four pickup truck and sport utility vehicle factories by 2010, eliminating 8,400 jobs.
