Governor Jennifer Granholm wants to improve access to the Michigan International Speedway, while putting people to work.
Today she announces 18-point-five million dollars in road projects.
Those projects are designed to ease traffic around the Brooklyn area speedway, which hosts two NASCAR races and an Indy car race each summer.
The construction will center along US-127 and US-12 over the next three years.
It will create 60 new jobs.
Construction will be coordinated with race weekends.
