The Grand Ledge Relay for Life kicked off Friday afternoon at Beagle Middle School.
Teams will be walking until Saturday afternoon raising money for the American Cancer Society. Others in the community will be enjoying music, raffles, and karaoke to help raise money.
Organizers say their goal is to raise $120,000. Many participating are survivors or have lost loved ones to cancer. They say it’s important to find a cure so others don't have to die.
There will be more relays taking place in coming weekends. If you'd like to participate in a future relay go to the American Cancer Society website at cancer.org.
