The Ingham County Sheriff's Office has identified 55-year-old Kevin Hornbeck of Delta Township, as the motorcyclist who died after colliding with a pickup truck at the intersection of Waverly and Bishop in Lansing, Saturday.

Hornbeck was traveling north on Waverly Rd. when he collided with a Ford F-150 traveling west on Bishop Rd. The Ford was being driven by a 45-year-old man from Eaton Rapids.

The Sheriff's Office says the truck stopped for a stop sign and proceeded through the intersection, but didn't see the motorcyclist who had the right of way.

The motorcyclist hit the left fender of the the pickup. He was taken to McLaren hospital while undergoing CPR.

He was declared dead a little after 10 a.m.

The Sheriff's Office says the exact cause is still under investigation. Alcohol and speed do not appear to be factors at this point.

The Sheriff's Office says the motorcyclist was wearing a helmet.
Police shut down parts of Bishop and Waverly Roads due to an accident at their intersection, Saturday, in Lansing and Delhi Township.

Waverly has been blocked off from Miller to M-99. Parts of Bishop have also been blocked off.
