A drug-sniffing dog will be helping with security in the Lansing School District.
Santo is going through training right now. Once he is finished, he'll handle random checks of all Lansing Schools.
The district hasn't had drug-sniffing dogs since budget cuts after the 2003-2004 school year. Normally, a trained dog costs between $6,000 and $10,000.
