Under the anxious, watchful eyes of the mother deer, Todd Dierdorff, climbed into a window well of his neighbor's home in Colorado Springs, CO, and pulled out a trapped fawn. When his neighbor alerted him of the fawn's presence, he called a local wildlife rescue for help. The group wasn't able to come out, but told him how to pick up the fawn. As he carefully picks up the fawn, the fawn's mother approached him and watched as he helped out the newborn.
With a little bit of a wobble, the deer moved to its mothers side as soon as it was placed on the ground and the two quickly run off.
Todd tells WILX News 10 that the video was taken earlier this week, and his wife filmed the wildlife encounter. He also told us that he lives near the beginning of the Rocky Mountain range, and deer are seen frequently in the area.
